Big Black Digital Catalog Available Tomorrow?

Will all your favorite Big Black albums be available at digital retailers tomorrow? Amazon.com seems to think so, although both the other big retailers, iTunes and eMusic, does not have Big Black listed amongst it's schedule of new and upcoming releases.

Steve Albini, who founded Big Black during the early 80s Chicago punk scene and led the succesful indie rock band all the way to it's end in 1987, has long been an opponent of compressed digital audio. It wasn't until after Big Black broke up that Albini agreed to have the band's albums and EPs released on CD and every release from his other bands since (Rapeman, Shellac) have all had a vinyl issue along with the standard 5-inch sliver disc.

Both ANTI-SNOB.com and eMusic have reached out to Touch & Go Records but have not received a reply. We will see what happens tomorrow when I trt to purchase "Kerosene" and sideload the song to my Amazon Cloud Drive.

Here is a snapshot I took of Amazon's MP3 page after searching for Big Black a few weeks back. Nothing has changed since.

Until tomorrow, please enjoy this amazing video I found on YouTube. It is a homemade video mash-up using footage from two John Mellancamp video's from the 80s set to Big Black's "Kerosene".
