Not to overdraw comparisons between music and pro wrestling, but could you imagine a music promoter who didn't pay a band getting arrested for "obtaining services on false pretenses"? Then there is the moral/legal stipulaton that it's okay to not pay independent contractors, but if you stiff an off duty police officer out of a security wage, you are going to be arrested.
