. The video was done by Marie XXme and can be viewed at Vimeo.

  • R.I.P. - Brendan Mullen. He has been called a "punk pioneer" for facilitating much of what happened during the L.A. punk scene of 1977 through 1979. Anti-Snob recently referred to his own personal account of The Consumers for our article on the early Phoenix punk scene. In 1977, Mullen founded basement punk club The Masque and began hosting shows by such notables as The Germs, The Skulls, The Alleycats, and Needles & Pins. By the end of 1977 bands like The Bags, The Eyes, The Dickies, and The Screamers were regulars at The Masque. After The Masque closed, Mullen continued to promote punk shows in the L.A. area and went on to write several books related to the late 70s punk scene. Mullen died of a stroke Monday (10/12/09) at the age of 60. (source: LA Times)

  • The Lustkillers have been working hard in Chicago on their upcoming album. The band, led by Adam Becvare, are looking for fan submitted pictures for the layout of the album. Pictures must involve the use of a black hood and can be "sexy, sad, or happy". Details can be found at the Lustkillers Myspace page.

  • A cool website for the 3rd annual Austin Psych Fest is now online. The website gives history of the past two festivals and will update as the 3rd event in Spring 2010 approaches. There are not any bands announced as of yet, but festival founders The Black Angels will likely be performing.
