ANTI-SNOB RADAR: Five New Albums To Look Out For In The Near Future (08/31/09)
- The Bomb featuring Jeff Pezzati from Naked Raygun has a new album coming out on No Idea Records. Titled Speed Is Everything, it is being released with a limited edition t-shirt which is only available with a pre-order of the CD or vinyl. Pre-order HERE. The pre-order page also contains a free download of the song "Spaceman".

- Scorpion Vs. Tarantula became the 2nd Phoenix band to work with famed Detroit producer Jim Diamond when the high-energy threesome flew out and set up shop at Ghetto Recorders last week. Satisfied with the recording, SvT is now shopping the tape to any and all labels interested. Those critical in the past of the band's bottomless live output will be pleased to hear that they hired Ann Arbor bassist Fred Beldin to lay down tracks for all the songs. - A long awaited reunion: The new album from Alice Donut, Ten Glorious Animals, will be released September 22, 2009 on Alternative Tentacles. Coincidentally or intentionally, Ten Glorious Animals will be Alice Donut's 10th full length album. (AliceDonut.com)
- Captain Oi will be releasing the new album from 70s punk legends The Vibrators. Ian "Knox" Carnochan returns as the band's vocalist after being away for nearly 18 months. Nigel Bennet performed all the guitar parts for the new record. Release date? Sometime before Christmas according to The Vibrators' Myspace blog.
- One of my personal favorite unsigned psychedelic rock bands, Philadelphia's Stellarscope, will be releasing a new disc within the next month. It will be titled This Is Who We Are. Details on the Stellarscope myspace page.
