I am a huge fan of any website that has free (legal) mp3s for anyone to download. Insound has had a promotional outlet for years where you can download many of today's hot indie rock hit singles, all with the blessings of the artists and their record label.

The Kills - "Cheap and Cheerful" from their latest album Midnight Boom

Insound was the first internet retailer to sell all three formats to their customers, as well as becoming a pioneer supporter of the "Vinyl + mp3" format. They have never sold mp3 singles ala carte like iTunes, etc, but most albums can be purchased complete in digital format for a reasonable price.
