Tuesday the new Dandy Warhols album, Earth to Dandy Warhols, will be officially released. And it's about time. They have been self-pimping this record since April, which seems like forever. KEXP has been spinning one single called "Now You Love Me" in heavy rotation for the last month or so. After hearing the free promo single "The World The People Together" (an exhausting psychedelic dance jam that sounds like an outtake from their last record Odditoriom or Warlords of Mars) , I was worried that all pop sensibilities were filed away along with their expired Capitol Records contract. However, hearing "Now You Love Me" makes me happy and keeps me anticipated to hear the whole record when it is released.

This is a self released effort. The Dandies have been offering the album free in mp3 format for all those who pre-order the CD or vinyl on their website, but I will wait patiently for Tuesday and head out to my local indie shop (where I will also get a FREE limited edition remix EP available only at indie record stores).
